Yes, that works. I just like to always plug a new device in so it starts charging and you get the chime telling you that it is charging and on as voice over isn’t activated yet. Once voice over is on then at least voice over gives some indication that the device is on each time you power it up. I did that with my Mac as well as I didn’t know where the power button was on it when I took it out of the box, and I like the feature on the Mac where voiceover starts up after a set amount of time if the computer is inactive. I think that would be good on the iPhones as well.
