I continue to explore using MS-Excel on my Mac. I’m starting to get a handle on it, but there’s a major problem. Negative numbers. There are places where they appear and I need to know when they do. As I scroll across and vertically through various amounts of US$, I am accustomed to being able to hear when there are parenthesis around a negative value. So far, even with VO set to announce all punctuation, these never speak. So all my amounts sound like they are positive numbers. Even changing the negative value format to be a -$ instead of parentheses VO still will not announce the minus sign. What do I need to change either in Excel or in VO to make this work? It’s a game-changer.
