I’m guessing the size of your modem you would probably need to pull it back about 8 to 10 inches. Make sure you have camera mode selected and you Have voice over focused on the take picture button before you start. Once you think you are far enough away from the object your photographing double tap the screen. I’m guessing you know how to attach the photo to the email? I actually find texting photos is much easier as you can take the photo within the message itself without having to open your camera, and then send the text straight away without having to attach the photo.
