Hi John Sorry if I was being obscure.
What I mean is the reading age a person has to be to understand a piece of writing. For example, tabloid newspapers in-the UK are allegedly written so that a 9 year old can understand them. I’m writing some explanatory leaflets for a charity I am involved with and colleagues keep contributing text that reads more like a sociology lecture than a clear description of what people can expect in a particular situation. I thought if I could demonstrate the reading age their stuff was coming out as, they might be persuaded to be a little more inclusive in-their communication style. You can do this in MS Word, as I said, but I can’t see how to do it in Pages or Text Edit. I was hoping that, like the Nano count app I used to use in Text Edit for a word count, there would be something similar to assess reading age.
