Hi,

Try going to Mail Prefs, Accounts, look through the list of eMail accounts. If
your old account is there, select it, then stop interacting with the Accounts
table and navigate to the Remove button. Also check in the Internet Accounts
pane of System Prefs to see if the old account resides there at all. If so,
delete it from there. If none of that seems to work, go back into Mail Prefs
on the Accounts pane, select your current account, select the Server Settings
tab, and confirm the Outgoing Mail Server is the iCloud server with your
current credentials.

Later...

Tried sending this reply directly from Apple Mail. It may not arrive. No Joy!
kevj...@me.com <mailto:kevj...@me.com> is NOT in my Previous Recipients Table.
 More ideas?

Guys,

Many years ago, I subscribed to a Reaper mailing list using my kevj...@me.com
<mailto:kevj...@me.com> address. This address is now long dead. I have since
unsubscribed and resubscribed to this mailing list using kevj...@icloud.com.
However, even though my e-mails from this list come to my iCloud address,
hitting reply automatically populates the sending address as kevj...@me.com
<mailto:kevj...@me.com>. If I don’t happen to remember to click on the
outgoing address and change it to kevj...@icloud.com, the mail will be sent to
nowhere and it will take a few days for me to realize that the reason I haven’t
heard from whatever I asked about is because nobody saw what I wrote.

I have tried my best to make sure that kevj...@me.com <mailto:kevj...@me.com>
is toast. It is no longer present as a sender’s e-mail address. But it
remains as an option in the list of e-mail addresses I can choose when sending
e-mails. In fact, if I am currently highlighting an e-mail that came to my
iCloud account, initiating a blank e-mail appears to populate the From field
with kevj...@me.com <mailto:kevj...@me.com>, regardless of what e-mail address
I actually want in the From field. I can’t remove this me.com <http://me.com/>
address as an option in the From field no matter what I do. Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Kevin
