Absolutely agree with getting the more powerful system. It will remain your friend far longer that way.
I also agree with Simon's point that you might want more storage. PS: Anymore I personally consider 32Gb RAM a minimal system. I prefer as much RAM as I can afford, with my second priority being a more capable CPU. I would note that I also look for CPU with significant L2 cache. So, more storage is third in my personal priorities. Yes, you probably should go to 512, but you can always add storage via USB 3.x ports.
