My recommendations would be to keep your endnote library on your local machine 
as clouds cause issues with useage.

Fab thanks - when I used it before I used to store the pdf or doc files for my 
library in dropbox and so I wonder if this is why I could not get the link to 
file in library bit to work with endnote
