So the new Earpods arrived today,

So far they feel exactly the same as the 1st gen,
The requested engraving I requested doesn't' appear to be on the case, unless
they engraved and then put a coating of plastic over it.
For some reason the case feels somewhat more lower quality some how tinny and
not as strong as the first gen case.

Within 3 hours of unpacking the 50% battery charge in the case had dropped to
20% and I'd used them for less than 10 minutes for playing around

The connection to the phone is quicker when you put the pod in your ears than
my 1st gen pods,
The hey siri feature I must admit is great so far,
So easy to just ask the question
It's so easy to not have to tap the pod to get your request happening.

The sound quality seems better but as yet haven't tested both pair of pods
against each other,

Interesting being able to have 2 sets of pods paired to the same iPhone

The one thing I'm not sure I'm keen on though is when you put the wifi charging
case on a wireless charging pad,
There is no way to know if the pods are charging,my phone goes ding when on the
pad charging wirelessly,
If my pods are connected to a cable charging I can hold the case over the
phone and get charging related info

Other than the LED on the face of the case, how do we know the pods case is
charging?

Tomorrow I will put them through their paces while listening to music and not
to my boss,Metallica sounds so much better than managers
