Hello, I prefer VO + U because if you select the type of element you desire you can type characters to quickly jump to those elements you are looking for. For example, when I find an item I might wish to purchase on the Amazon site. I Press VO+U and left or right to headings, then type des and the description heading is the first one. So I just hit enter and I am ready to read the items description. Which is a long way down the page. Going by heading from the top is usually abut 7 headings down. Yesterday I wanted to download a file and I simply could not find it’s download link. I was reading all this guff and got quite frustrated. Anyway I had read that the latest version had 103 in it’s filename. So I VO+U and on links typed 1 and a mass of links vanished and the first link was the download link I was looking for. Hitting enter took me directly to the link. Note that it takes the focus to the link. It does not activate it like some screen readers do.
When I first visit a page I get an overview of it’s control elements by VO+U and curser down each list, this is good for sites that present a sign up page. By cursing down the form controls you can see how much of your personal information they require and how accessible it might be to comply. I find I use VO+U every session it’s a very powerful tool.
