Hi all,

I upgraded my Mac mini last Thursday to Mojave 10.14.4, and my wife did the
same thing to her iMac yesterday, Saturday. We both use Gmail through the Apple
Mail app. I get mail from two different servers, and I had noticed that I
didn’t get the usual amount of e-mail the past two days, and when I tried to
forward something to my wife’s Gmail, she never got it. So I did some
investigation. We discovered, on both computers, that Gmail had gone offline,
and the only way to get it back was to go to System Preferences > Internet
Accounts. Then we clicked on Gmail and got a message that we needed to sign in
with Safari. I had something like 80+ e-mails backed up, and my wife had about
20 or 25. So, if any of you use Gmail and may think you’re not getting e-mail
from it, you might want to make sure that you are, indeed, signed in. The clue
I got was in the mail program, when I tried to select Inbox from the mailbox
list, it said “inbox offline”.

Wanted to share the experience in hopes it might help others if you had the
same issue.
