Those folks with aging iPad mini tablets will be happy to know that Apple has just announced a new iPad mini, which has the A12 processor, the same one used in the most current iPhones. That is a huge upgrade from what was previously available. The tablet comes in two sizes, 64 and 256 GB.
The price for the 64 GB model is $399. The tablet also has support for the first generation Apple Pencil. It keeps the headphone jack as well as The home button. It also has the lightning connector and stereo speakers, like older models. The new iPad air is very much like the 10.5 inch iPad Pro from 2017. That model was discontinued today. There are a few differences, but probably nothing that would be of concern to a blind user, such as the camera on the back. This one also supports the older iPad pencil as well as smart covers. It has the four stereo speakers from the older iPad pro 10.5 inch. I can’t remember the storage for the bottom one, I think it is also 64 GB, and the price is $499. It also has the latest chip as in the iPhone 10 series. Mary Sent from my iPhone -- The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries list.
