The cheap 2018 iPad is great for those things too, but the processor and ram are not up to coping with complex tasks (which I did not realise are that complex, such as displaying very large text fonts as you move from page to page of a book). If you are thinking of coding with Playgrounds, perhaps that too would be too complex? Mark must have his reasons for talking of the iPad Pro!
