Herein seems to be the problem. When I find the file I want to restore, VO announces the filename, kind, and then says “no permission to read”. I'm also having trouble getting to the windows. Window chooser does show me the one that’s got Time Machine Controls, but I’m not seeing the calendar to pick a date. I’m trying to do some independent research, and I’m seeing a suggestion to turn Time Machine off then back on again. How do I do that? Is it in System Prefs?
