Good morning, I might have an idea as to what your problem might be. Are you running OS X Mojave? Just salute you know if you are running the current version of VMware, you have to go into system preferences and make sure that in the privacy and/or security settings that VMware is permitted to access those resources a.k.a. the extension for VMware needs to be allowed to run. If the item is not chocked your Mac forbids the program to be run because did use it as a potential security risk when it is not. Give that a shot? And I think your problem will hopefully go away.

Sincerely Maurice Mines.

Hi,

These are probably basic questions but if there is a pointer or other resource, I’d appreciate hearing about it. I am trying to get VMWare Fusion to run on a MacBook Pro and not having a lot of luck. I launch the program and it opens but then stops responding. Eventually I force quit the program.

Does this generally work and if so any thoughts on what might be up? I’ve used VirtualBox successfully previously on the same machine.

The machine is fully updated to the latest Mac OS.

Thank you,

Kelly
