Hi, I live in the UK but my thoughts should still be relevant. Last year I looked for a new tv with text to speech support. Both LG and Samsung have good systems. I ended up with a Samsung only for price reasons.
The only issue you might face is having to buy a bigger and flashier one that you need to get the built in software you need. I bought a big and flashy one to please the rest of my family, though I must say I can see a little more with a 4K TV. Your mileage will vary. My Samsung can turn and off voice guidance. It will teach you the buttons on the remotes. I hear newer ones may even be operated with Alexa. I can choose inputs such as cable or apple TV. I can use the smart hub that connects netflix etc to the internet. I can change picture options etc. As we have Sky I am not sure if the TV has an electronic programme guide that can be navigated, but it would not surprise me. I needed sighted help to set it up initially, but now I can use it pretty well independently. Best tv I have ever bought, especially when combined with an Apple TV.
