Hi Pete,
No go. Fusion knows its there, its listed in Devices and Printers,
as well as Device Manager. But its not listed in NVDA. Maybe that is the
show stopper? When I connect to USB I hear the tone but not sure if its
coming from the Mac or Windows. I think I should look at NVDA and see if
that is it. I just updated to 2018.3.

I think my Focus is older, but what I had to do was start the Windows machine,
then connect the device. So, if your Focus is working with VoiceOver,
disconnecting and reconnecting tells Fusion to look for the device. Then, you
have to go to Devices in your machine. You should see the Freedom Scientific
device listed as not connected, but you can then connect it and you should find
the driver after that. It’s a bit of a pain, but you always have to disconnect
and reconnect the Braille device every time you start up the virtual Windows
machine.
Hope this helps,

Has anyone been successful in updating this display in a Windows 7 VM on the
Mac? I need to install a driver which is not working. A USB connection is
required and VMware Fusion sees the connected display but Windows does not due
to lack of driver.
