Hello Everyone, Some time ago, I thought I read on this list that the more recent versions of Skype (by Microsoft) were not terribly voiceover friendly.
Well, during the past week, I've had occasion to use the latest version of Skype on my Mac and I must say that I am extremely pleased with what Microsoft has done. I find the app completely VoiceOver friendly, easy to use, easy to understand, and best of all, containing some accessibility features geared towards those of us who are low vision. For example, I particularly like the new color themes one can select to vary display contrast. Also, I was delighted to discover that the Mac version of the app now mirrors the layout of Skype for iOS making it easier, in my opinion, to switch between the two platforms. So, if you haven't used the latest version of Skype for Mac with VoiceOver, perhaps you should consider giving it a try.
