Hi, Doing this through the Finder is not recommended. It can corrupt your backups and make them ineffective. If you use the Time Machine method, consistency is maintained. If you enter Time Machine, then use the Window Chooser to access the Time Machine controls, you are able to backup, restore and remove old backups accessibly. The key is to use the Window Chooser while in the Time Machine area.

Open it and you should see another folder whose name is that of your computer. Open it and inside you will have list of all your backups. They are folders with names corresponding to the dates when they were created. If you invoke contextual menu on the folder you wish to delete, there’s an option there to move it to the trash. Hope this helps. Andrew > On Apr 8, 2018, at 5:25 PM, Paul Hopewell <hopew...@hopewell.org.uk> wrote: > > Hello, > I am running Mac OS 10.13.4 on a new iMac.
