I would suggest the macbook air, one of the big advantages the macbook pro offers is the retena display which is meaningless for a blind person. If you decide to get the macbook pro, I would avoid the touch bar, it can allow you to do some things in some apps a bit faster but in my opinion it makes things more complicated, also, unless this has changed, you have to use an external keyboard to turn on voiceover when booted in to recovery, it's much easier just to have the regular function keys. If you decide to get the macbook air this will be a nonissue since the air does not have a touch bar.
