Hi, I use both and I’m more comfortable with windows as I’ve been using it longer and more indepth,
There is a lot I can’t do with the mac due to work / enterprise systems we use such as active directory and exchange based services, However the mac os is still a major part of our work environment And due to features such as bootcamp we can run windows in dual boot or through vm setups which for our main machine I’ve been the one setting up the mac os and vm images due to them being straight forward to setup I’m infact restoring our image from an external thunderbolt drive to a USB 3.1 SSD to speed up our upgrade process Things that aren’t easy to do with windows unless you use a pixie boot system. I have to use Windows for a training contract and some other odds and ends, and it's more than enough to continue to remind me what a disaster that OS remains despite every new version. God, do I not miss viruses and malware and mysterious crashes every other day. Fifteen minutes on my Win 10 machine is all I need to remind me of how good I have it with my Macs. Take Care John D. I got my first Mac when the current system was snow leopard. That was a long time ago. And I really expected the system to have matured by now to the point where I would not even ever think about getting another Windows machine. That didn’t happen. I need both of those, and I don’t have them. So I’m back to windows. I still have a Mac, but it doesn’t get much use and I won’t buy another one. I use Windows at work, and most of the time it just drives me batty. I don't think MS is getting better at all. I'd still take Windows 7 over windows 10 any day of the year, and I have a sighted coworker who feels the same way. And so far, anyway, I'd take any Apple product over Microsoft, which is why I still haven't switched. Not that I'm crazy about all Apple's been doing lately, I just think they're still better than Microsoft. This is a classic example of what happenes when you try to fix something that isn't broken, from Microsoft, it's not surprising though. My husband, who is sighted, also reverted to the previous version as the new one lacks many of the facilities he uses. Apparently, there is quite a lot of criticism of MicroSoft’s treatement of Skype on the internet. Honestly I'm not too impressed, I've been able to figure it out but it takes much longer to find things now, there was nothing wrong with the previous interface, I'm not sure why the developers changed it. Just was wondering what everyone else thinks. -- The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries list.
