Hi Donna, 
Try keeping the phone in front of your face so that it does not lock. It will 
recognize that you are paying attention to it and should not lock the screen. 
Alternatively, use a one finger swipe up from the bottom of the screen to 
unlock it again. VoiceOver will make a sound when you perform the gesture 
correctly, and the phone should tap you twice.
