Well, first you need to decide if you want to keep your contacts from now on in Google or in iCloud.
In either case, I think the easiest thing to do if you have a Macintosh is to 1. Go to All my Google contacts 2. Select all the contacts you want to migrate from the contact list. Unless you pic all, this can get confusing and might need a seperate message to the list. 3. Go into the file menu and click export menu item . This should ask you for where you want to save your contact list. 4. Go into the System Preferences App and Select Internet Accounts. 5. Find and select the Google account in the account table. 6. There is a table below this that lists services you get from Google. Each one has a check box. Uncheck the contacts. Now you will not be getting Google contacts on your computer. At this point you can go back to the contacts app and import the contacts you exported above. There is a import menu item and it should allow you to select the file you saved in step . 3. It also might be useful for folks to save their contacts using file export on a semi regular basis just in case you or the contact provider somehow messes up, in which case you can still find Aunt Mabel's address locally HTH Jonathan .
