Hello,

Before upgrading my device, I want to make sure that one can selectively
display one's caller ID.

If someone using A T & T Wireless on an iOS 11 device could confirm that the
following dialing option still works, I would be most greatful:

1.
In the phone settings area, select to hide your caller ID.

2.
Please test this setting to make certain that it is enabled, by calling
someone in your Contacts List. Please do not call a toll-free number.

3.
Select a test contact and prepare to edit her/his record. Type in the
following symbols in front of the person's telephone number in the edit
field.

*31#

For example, if the person's number is 213-444-1212, after your edit it
should read: *31#2134441212.

4.
Now save the change and place a call to the contact and have the person
confirm that he/she could see your number being displayed.

The *31# has been a long-time dialing option for A T & T Wireless customers
and I'm hoping that Apple did not break this functionality with its latest
release. I am almost certain it will still work but I just want to make
sure.

Thank you for helping me out on this one.

Mark
