Hi Simon: I have been using dropbox for many years. I have it linked to an external drive because I have a large number of files on their and I don’t want it taking up space on my hard drive. Currently, I have between 5 and 6 hundred gigs in my dropbox.
Recently, I went to make some adjustments to my dropbox and found that I couldn’t open it. So I tried to uninstall it and I keep getting error messages implying that it can’t deleted because it is in use, which it isn’t, or that some extentions are in use, or some other cryptic nonsense. To try and remedy the problem I thought to try p cloud thinking that I could store all of my files in it and it wouldn’t take up space on my drive thereby eliminating the external drive issue. I installed that and basically the same thing happened. It won’t open and it also won’t uninstall. Honestly, I get so tired of this sort of thing!
