Hmmm, most perplexing; when I sent the last message in this thread I did not need to issue the send command twice. It went off on its’ merry way with the first invocation. Is it possible that simply opening mail preferences and gracefully closing that dialog may have resolved this problem? Can anybody better versed in the Mac OS e-mail client offer any explanation?
