A few pointers.
You can do this as long as both machines are on the same wifi network.
1. You will need to have Windows 7 setup so that you have a login password.
2. You will need to have your drives /folders permission on Windows to
be shared. Go to the properties of each drive/folder you want to share
and make sure that sharing is enabled. Go to advance
sharing to set up whether you want the ability to just read or edit
files through your sharing link.
3. On the Mac side use command shift C to bring up computer in Finder.
Look down for Network and see if you can see your Windows Machine there.
If you can see it copy the name to the pasteboard that the Mac
recognises it by.
4. Now press command K to set up a network connection. Paste in the name
of the pc you want to connect to.
Then tab to the request for password that will come up and type in the
normal password that you normally use to access your windows machine.
That is pretty much it. You will see the drives on your network machine.
Whether you can access them will depend on whether you have set sharing
permissions on the Windows side.

Hello all:
don't know if this is possible, but I need to make a network between
my mac mini and my windows 7 computer, the reason is that, my data is
very huge and I need to use my Hd that is already on my windows
machine.
so, will my idea can be achieved or it is not possible?
also, is there any other way that I can do this/
and, what is the best, to use network cable or to use wireless
network? note that in my mac mini there is a port for the network
cable.
Thanks in advance.
