Hello Barry, A few more Safari preference settings. I have history items deleted after one month and download list items removed when Safari quits. These are in the General tab. In the Security tab, I have it set to only accept cookies from sites I've visited and I have 5 MB of database storage allowed before asking.
I don't know what else could be having any effect. Do you often have multiple windows or tabs open in Safari? I tend to keep the number of open windows down to 2 or 3 and I never use tabs.
