Hi: Me too, have a guidedog that is a cross, and 2 long hair cats. Acording to the review, they work great on dog hair. The 880. 890, 960, and 980 got the best reviews in regards to dog hairs. The 690 did okay in the dog hair reviews. The 800 and 900 have different technology where the hair doesn't get caught in the rollers. I just haven't decided on which to try. The 900 series have the longest battery life.
