Hi,

This sort of thing usually happens either with a large amount of content, or if
there are a lot of live regions that are constantly refreshing themselves. I
don't believe that it is a Safari problem, more of a VO buffer loading concern,
but that's just my thoughts. A couple of tricks that I've used in these
situations is to cmd-tab out of Safari for a few seconds, then cmd-tab back in.
Also, turning off VO, waiting a few seconds, then turning it back on also gets
past these sorts of issues. Even a combination of these two ideas often is
helpful. You could try Google Chrome which is also mostly compatible with VO
and VO commands.

Later...

With the Mac, the site is totally impossible to log in to. You get stuck and
cannot go anywhere.

You actually have to force quit Safari to be able to do anything with it at all
afterward.
