Cara: I’ve forwarded this message on to zoom. supp...@zoom.us <mailto:supp...@zoom.us> This is in hopes that they reply and we can find a positive resolution to the issues users are facing with it. Everyone’s use case scenario is different, for example I schedule my meetings and webinars on my account page in Safari. (Sign into the account you want to schedule a meeting in and go to: https://zoom.us/meeting/schedule <https://zoom.us/meeting/schedule> ) The way to get around the date issue on this page is to press your voiceover keys plus Space Key on the date, use table navigation to jump to the table, select the date within the table, , interact with the sell, press vo+Space, and then type in the time in the edit box, NOTE: after you select the date, (available dates are links, unavailable dates are just numbers), voiceover automatically stops interacting with the table. Focus for me is then brought back to the top of the page, so I typed find for the number of the day I selected, which jumps focus back to the date. I press tab and you can then select the time by typing it into the edit box. E.G. 10:24 When you press tab again your asked to select"a.m., or p.m.", if you press VO Left once, you'll hear either option selected, and this is a link. Selecting this link will place voiceover in a edit box, press voiceover right arrow to select which option you would like the meeting to be scheduled for. The timezone selection is the same way FYI. I don't know if you can view your meetings from the zoom application on either Mac OS or iOS, I live out of Google calendar so my links I need to attend our either in the event or there in my email notification that comes 10 minutes before the time I need to be there. However, I have seen the focus issues with the chat window, most especially in a presentation I gave yesterday showing other users how to use zoom. Additionally I've also seen at focus issues in the members list, for example voiceover doesn't seem to keep focused on the list of members and if you're trying to quickly switch between members list and chat Focus tends to become lost. I don't know how to explain it…
I've also explained how individuals viewing a webinar or attending a meeting cannot interact with the pole feature at least on the Mac, and hosts on the Mac cannot either interact with the pole or read the results live in a previous communication with zoom, so am hopeful that they look into this. I do not know how accessible the reports are, I'll be testing those over the next couple of weeks as I'm hosting some webinars for a few clients. Additionally, as noted in this message I forwarded, I also have found pressing the broadcast button when a webinar is in test only mode, seems to be impossible with voiceover on the Mac. How I've gotten around this is to set my iPhone as a alternative host, and then press the broadcast button from it. Now I will say as outlined in this video I recorded it on YouTube:Accessible webinar software for the blind https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJXzEYfG8NM <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJXzEYfG8NM> That accessibility has changed from one update to another, so be sure that you are running the latest update of zoom just to verify that some of the mentioned things you brought up are not remedied. "Good Day: As I know it’s likely your team doesn’t monitor forms like the one below, I thought I should send this to you and give it to your team for feedback. I’ve seen this type of behavior when trying to use the “broadcast”button on the Mac with zoom for webinars, as Voiceover doesn’t ever allow me to press it. I suggest someone form your team subscribe to this form and to http://applevis.com/ <http://applevis.com/> To acquire feedback from the users of your platform who are using it on a daily bases. Hoping this finds you all well. Best. Michael " Hears a page to bring up when providing feedback, they want to do good however lets help them with providing feedback: " Commitment Zoom is committed to ensuring universal access to our products and services, so that all meeting hosts and participants can have the best experience possible. Zoom's accessibility features enable users with disabilities to schedule, attend, and participate in Zoom meetings and webinars, view recordings, and access administrative features across our supported devices. “ http://zoom.us/accessibility <http://zoom.us/accessibility> > > On Apr 20, 2017, at 6:00 PM, Cara Quinn <caraqu...@caraquinn.com> wrote: > > Karen and All, > > I have also been using Zoom with a corporate account pretty much every day > for about a year now but unlike everyone else posting here so far, I have > encountered a number of really bothersome accessibility issues. > > So I am wondering if you or someone else in this thread may be able to tell > me what the heck I am doing wrong! lol! > > Firstly, in scheduling a meeting on the Mac, choosing a date causes VO to get > stuck in the date area. > > Once I figured out that I needed to interact with the date again, I was not > able to hear which field I was editing with up and down arrows.
