I totally disagree.
First off the stock price speaks for it self. If what you said was true they
wouldn’t be worth 768 billion last I looked and at record highs.
Next, while certain areas have lagged I would agree, Siri being a big
example of this, others definitely have not. The phone share of the market
continues to increase, they continue pushing Microsoft out of the business
space and nobody else has a product that’s as powerful or competes. The pixel
/ pixel xl isn’t there yet (it may be in a few generations button yet), Samsung
can’t engineer their way out of a paper bag, and there just is no real
competition yet. This could change but we’re not there yet.
Apple has single handedly devastated the luxury watch business with
Rolex having to buy back 30% of it’s products last year alone. Other high end
manufacturers are experiencing the same lack of interest. TO give you a real
world example, I have a watch that retail was valued at over 100,000 US. I
looked at the same watch on the used market yesterday, instead of going up in
value they have dropped to under 10,000. It’s no longer trendy or as trendy to
wear a time piece unless it’s a smart watch from Apple.
Plantronics and Jawbone have both realized decreases in sales which
appear to be soaked up by the pods. On this side of the pond no such
complaints are being voiced, at least not on any meaningful level compared to
sales.
With the A10 still faster than most chips being released this year who
knows what the 11 series or next series will offer. There’s been heavy
innovation on the stuff inside the phone from when Steve was around.
Interesting arguments but nobody including the market agrees with you at least
not enough to make a negative showing on the bottom or top line.Siri is probably the biggest stagnation point of Apple and pressure from Google will get this jump started again, it’s already resulting in hiring changes. > On Mar 31, 2017, at 1:44 AM, Simon Fogarty <[email protected]> wrote: > > Scot, > > They’re not making revolutionary products they are now just changing what > they have, > > They have had a lot of comments re the pods, > I know a number of people who wont get them due to the no control options, > Mind you a number of the same people are looking at the beats x and saying > they wont buy them due to the laitex ear insert > > Apple are starting to dropp in ratings due to the lack of innovation since SJ > bought the farm.nothing they have done in the passed 2 years has been new > Just an update on what hey have. > From: [email protected] > [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Scott Granados > Sent: Friday, 31 March 2017 3:06 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: apple earpods > > That’s never going to happen. > > The whole point of the pods is they don’t have any straps and the design is > controls free. > > Your opinion is definitely the minority.
