Is this available to non-Canadians? I don't know about the Canadian Sirius radio site, but the US one requires the windows media codecs from flip4mac to be installed in order to add support for them into Quicktime. Once you do that, it plays fine. If the Canadian site does need ActiveX that is a real shame,as ActiveX will never be available on other platforms. Have you tried installing flip4mac to get the codec support?
