Hi Brian, File Vault can be tempermental sometimes for a screen reader user. I quit using it due to this reason. I wanted my hard drive to be encrypted with File Vault. The problem really came when I rebooted and logged in. Sometimes it logs in okay and other times not. I never say don’t do it I just say be mindful when doing it.
