Terry, I doubt you have much choice as to specific versions of iTunes to use. I believe that Apple Music came out with Yosemite, and for some folks this was a step back in accessibility since iTunes tries to do too much. I believe that the latest version of iTunes is a bit easier to use then the first ones that support Apple Music.
