Considering go pros are the device of choice for crazy people doing adventure
racing or sports.

The files are stored right to a card which are available with a standard
reader. I can’t speak for the GoPro specific software but once the files are
in the Mac you can edit them in other tools as normal. There’s a nice big
button to press to start and stop recording and you can voice trigger the new
one. My assistant got one for Christmas and got this accessory package meant
specifically for it that is quite the full setup. He even has all these
underwater housings. I keep telling him when James Cameron picks him up I’m
more than happy to carry his bag for him anywhere he needs to go.;). We use a
bunch of these cameras on the drones as well especially the custom made ones so
for what the original poster was wanting they will do just fine. They are good
enough though to do Comercial broadcasting with the right operator. I need to
improve my recovery record but if I can I”ll start putting them in rockets.
Right now though we keep losing the rockets when they go out of site. I need
some sort of GPS tracker for the rocket retrieval because we lose them when
their parachutes open but they blow down range miles . I don’t want to lose a
$500 Camera setup in the lake.:). I also have a 1/5th scale gas powered car
that I mount GoPro cameras on. We put a mount right where the driver would be
so it looks like you’re looking out the windshield. It will do about 70 MPH
full out in a field or open area. The 0 to 60 is also faster than just about
any car. It’s basically a small plastic truck with a chainsaw engine and a
remote controller.:). I have some examples on youtube.

Yeah thinking about it,
A go pro or similar type device would be the best option as it is a
rechargeable device so doesn’t need an external power supply and video captured
is saved on to an SD or Micro SD card so can be then transered on to a computer

I’m not sure however how accessible the Go Pro desktop software products are
once you have the video saved to a computer etc.

I know the similar device I had a look at the software for the device wasn’t
anywhere near usefull.

In the video he states the camera is a Go Pro. Interesting idea, though I am
not sure I would want to know all the times people ignored me.

Hello

Many of you may have seen this article about a blind person who attached a
camera to his guide dog’s collar to log discriminatory behaviour.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/disability-38027203

What I would like to know is if anyone has any experience of such devices and
can recommend one which is easily accessible in terms of its operation and how
to download relevant images either onto my iPhone, or my Mac.

Thanks

Adrienne
