There’s no compelling reason not to.  The battery thing isn’t that big of a 
deal.  You can get the data from Siri or there’s an Apple Script that provides 
that data as well.  You do get improved battery efficiency at least it seems so 
to me and you get a smoothed out login process which to me seems like less 
stuff being repeated.  Redmondpie just posted an article about how to check 
this information as well I’ll go repost it.
