Hi Simon, The problem I'm having now is that the update won't download. On the app store page, several reviewers also seem to have experienced this problem. Not sure how Apple expects people to update to the latest version if the update can't be downloaded. *sigh* Lately, I'm feeling like the brains of the Apple engineers have all gone out to lunch.
As for Anne and John's book, meaning no disrespect to their hard work, my word processing needs are pretty simple. If I need a book just to do the basic things I want to do, then Pages isn't worth it.
