Wow!  This is terrible news!  I use VLC pretty much exclusively on the
Mac, since Media Player's not accessible and I don't like ITunes.  I
really hope something is done about this.  I'm not a developer or
programmer of any kind so really can't help on that end of things.
But perhaps, we can start some kind of petition to get them thinking?
