First, be aware that Mac OS is based on BSD UNIX, not on Linux, hence there are subtle differences between what you would learn under Mac OS and using a Linux system. Second, in my experience, VoiceOver doesn't handle the terminal application well. This seems to have improved slightly in this year's release, but it remains awkward. Frankly, I get better terminal access on a Microsoft Windows machine than I do on the Mac, though running Linux itself, as I do on a laptop, gives best results. -- The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries list.
