I don't know if it is possible, but if somehow you could start a linux
session from a flash drive from the mac commandline, you could use speakup
to get the mack work done.

Hi List,
I've recently done a mac training course with a certification exam to come,
this is for el capitan currently but I'll be looking at updating it in early
2017 with a sierra certification as well.
Two sections of the course dealt with problem solving issues within the Mac OS
version,
Including having to use both Single User mode and Safe mode.
For those that don't know what these are,
Single user mode is back to a unix command line interface with no GUI and
carefully written commands or your rebuilding your machine from scratch.
Safe mode is the gui interface but the machines running on no devices including
audio.
What I'd like to know is if anyone is aware of a way to get speech in to the
single user mode command line interface and also audio working in safe mode to
allow voiceover to work or something that will allow you to use the machine in
safe mode with some form of audio output?
I'm not a braille user so that wouldn't work even if you could use a braille
device to read what is on the screan.
These things would need to be real time so using my phone with a KNFB reader
type software wouldn't work as I'd have to be working fast to recover or
correct system related issues.
Has anyone got any suggestions here?
There must be a way to incorporate audio into these modes?
Cheers for any information you can supply.
