Hi Chris, >From watching gthe release presentation They said that the touch bar will act in a dynamic state for example if you open safari then the touch bar gives one lot of keys, If you were to open garage band then you get another lot of function key features. Or should that be tools.
If you hold the FN key down for a few seconds then the function keys across what is now the touch bar will appear to the user and give another version of tools or function keys such as what we are use to. So they are still there it's just they aren't there by default or individual keys as we are use to having. There was a very cool little video before the presentation started, It was showing what apple have done with regard to accessibility and features for the disabled users within apple products. -----Original Message----- From: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com [mailto:macvisionaries@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Christopher-Mark Gilland Sent: Saturday, 29 October 2016 1:58 AM To: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: No more hardware escape key on upcoming MacBooks Wait, The function keys show up when you hold down the FN key? So, does this mean, since it's just normally a bar, that the function keys are motorized and will pop up when you hit the fn key? Can you try maybe better explaining, if possible? --- Christopher Gilland JAWS Certified, 2016. I'd like to know if you can get the 13" touch bar model but with the standard keyboard rather than the new one, and the max ram, SSD and I7 processor. -----Original Message----- From: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com [mailto:macvisionaries@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Scott Granados Sent: Friday, 28 October 2016 7:43 AM To: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: No more hardware escape key on upcoming MacBooks Looks like we’ll have lots of keys to map now with the light bar.
