It appears from what I have read that there will be no updates to the Macbook Air, however Apple are still selling it, or be it only 13 inches and comes with either 128 or 256 GB of storage. So yes, it's true, but you can still buy one, both brand new and refurbished although I did see a refurbished 11 inch Macbook Air.
