As long as you’re on your local network you can still do all the FaceTime tricks mentioned, wasn’t trying to confuse things. With it not being available you’re still fine. All WiFi calling does is allows the phone to be out of the picture and the calls to go to the carrier directly over your available networks. An iPad for example basically has phone functionality now with FaceTime audio, a WiFi calling plan with your carrier and a data plan. My Air2 on T-Mobile does this and rings even when on LTE and even if I forget my phone. It also allows the watch to function with out the phone near by which is also nice.
