Hi John, I should probably keep out of this discussion and let experts who use this configuration (JAWS with Windows in VMware fusion on a laptop) answer. You may be able to us a laptop configuration. However, the basic problem (and difference) of a virtual machine environment is that you have two different operating systems with separate key definitions running at the same time. Many JAWS users who first tried to use Fusion attempted to map keys to exactly the same keyboard locations as they were used to using, for example by swapping the placement of the Control and Alt/Option keys. As a result, command sequence like Alt-Tab under Windows to cycle between windows got interpreted as the Mac's Command-Tab sequence for cycling between applications, thus throwing you out of Fusion. You can configure Fusion to pass control on for some key sequences, but you'll have to read up on that.
