Hi, As mentioned, the MacOS Sierra update requires you to actually download it. After the initial deluge of downloads, the AppStore now has the Sierra update on your updates page. You can choose to hide the update by locating the "Free Update" button for MacOS Sierra, then pressing VO-shift-m to bring up its Contextual menu, then select Hide Update. If you'd just rather ignore it and leave it there for possible future consideration, this is also possible. If grouping is turned on in web content areas, there will be a "MacOS Update" area within the Software Update screen. If you don't interact with that grouping, you'll not accidentally start the upgrade process. If web content grouping is not enabled, simply don't ever press on the "Free Upgrade" button.
