Hi Tim, To bring you up to speed,
I spoke with Ramy last night my time, For some reason his ssd came up as somehow locked or protected The only tab he had in disk utilities was the firstaid tab. So as he had a 16GB USB flash drive I had him format / partition this and then start the installation of Mt Lion to the USB Flash drive. That was where I left him, with the OSX installing to USB The aim here was to get the USB up and running so he could then partition the SSD as a new drive and then start again the installation of OSX to the SSD Hopefully once I read through my messages Ramy will have replied to us with how things went for him.
