Hi Listers, Is it at all possible to downgrade from OS Sierra to El Capitan again? If yes, would it require a clean install of El Capitan and thus loss of all the data? Although my late 2010 Macbook air is listed by Apple as being capable of running Sierra, I wonder whether it is too much to ask of it. It may be just on the border, and If I were not to be able to use Alex on it because of the crashes, I'd be inconsolable. No other voice seems to come up to scratch. And other voices seem to be more sluggish as well as interpret things somewhat differently.
If a clean installation of El Capitan were to be necessary, I have instructions on how to create a bootable El Capitan usb drive. The only question mark I have is - as you restart your mac with the option key depressed in order to get a list of available booting disks - how can I choose the usb drive reliably? It's a matter of moving the right or left arrow key once to select a different disk to start from but I can't remember which way I need to move the cursor. Any ideas?
