Hi Jason. this is Helga. How are you? I use dropbox on my Mac, and my iPhone. The way dropbox app works is that you save the file in dropbox on your mac computer, then you can look at it on your dropbox app on your iPhone. Word files work with dropbox sometimes, but it is mostly recommended if you want to read a text better, to convert it in TXT file on the computer, then save it in Dropbox you wil be able to read it better. You just need to install the dropbox app on your Mac, then a dropbox folder be created and it will be located on your home folder. And just install the app on your iPhone. You need to use the same account that you wil use on you computer, as well in your iphone. Hope this suggestions help. I look forward in hearing from you soon. Thanks and God bless!
