Hi Simon.

I was smoking over £80 a week in March.

I know that sounds incredable as many young people today are not earning that
amount from their work, but we are talking about an extremely strong ediction
and it's possible that many many people are still paying significantly more
than that amount over here.

A pack of cheeper brand cigarettes is about £8.50 and the more expensive
cigarettes are over £10 for a 20 pack. This is because the British Government
have sticky fingers and the tax system over here just wants everything from
you.

If there is a £ to be made, then our Government in London demand their share

So I'm both delighted and surprised that I have now been of the fags since the
start of March. Do the maths! I'm loaded and at the same time embarrased that
I used to spend so much.

Very best wishes.
Andy.

  Andy,

Yeah really well done with the giving up smoking,

As for having given up enough to purchase a 27 inch iMac and iPhone,

Hell you either gave up a while back or you smoked a lot,

Either way, the imacs and iPhone are a better option.

  Go hard and stay healthy.

Over here we can finance the devices I believe you can as well. Helps a lot
of folks with out the upfront money get involved which is a good thing. and a
big +1, way to go Andy on kicking the habit. That’s a very difficult thing to
do and much love and respect from me for doing it. Go get em andy.

You’ve hit it on the head, saving. I don’t do credit cards and like to
save up for my gadgets so definitely if you want something, you need to be
really committed in saving up for it so when it happens, you are definitely
being nice to yourself. I remember you telling me that you had got an I Mac
and well done for stopping smoking, now you have money for more better things.

I’m going to Iceland in a few weeks to do a charity walk so deciding that I
had to go to the Apple store rather than buying online was something of a
departure for me as I normally buy online.

Sorry that's all the words I know. hahaha.

This year I stopped smoking and started saving up. I've bought a brand
new 27 inch Imac and a second hand Macbook Pro and I firmly believe that we all
should be nice to each other for sure but more important, to be nice to

I wasn’t going to update my phone as I am also getting an I phone 7
Plus from the Apple store on Friday but someone asked me if I had updated so
now I’ve updated the one I have although it’s been sold so I’ll have a play
with it and then need to format it for it to be put in the box and sent to the
seller.

Is there anything I need to do as it’s a trusted device. Can I remove
that phone from my trusted device once I’ve put my sim card in my new phone?

I am also buying the Series two watch so that’s my presents to me until
next year.

        Thanks.

Hi Donna, depending on when it was that you got your last phone, it
may have been because there was an OS update rather quickly. I believe it was
iOS 8 where they pushed out an update very quickly, then had to pull it and
release another one because they broke LTE.

In that case, the OS you got on your new phone will have been older
than the OS on the old, unless you first updated. Hopefully that won't happen
this time around.

thanks for this. I honestly don't remember how it is that my new
phone had an older version, my memory is that I upgraded on the day it was
released, so I was thinking that the 7 would ship with IOS 9. But I could be
wrong about the upgrade timeframe. Anyway, I appreciate the feedback, so I
guess I'll just have to see how impatient I am to get my hands on IOS 10.1. :)

see a reason why both devices being on the same OS would be a problem.

But if you're updating on Friday, restoring from a backup made
on the iOS you have now should be fine. It's only when you try to restore to an
older OS version from a newer one that the universe objects.
