Hi,
I use the Honeywell Smart WIFI thermostat with voice control. You can
use its built in voice control to control it as well as Alexa. Alexa
can only raise and lower the temp.
It works well with its own app as far as being VoiceOver compatible.
I tried the Ecobee 3 as a demo as one of the Ecobee reps let me play
with his account for a couple of hours.
I couldn't independently change the thermostat using the iOS app from
say 78 to 80. You need to drag the temp with your finger and I never
got it to work. I purchased the Ecobee but for me not being able to
change the temp without using Alexa or voice control was a deal braker.
I couldn't even doit on the computer.
The Ecobee app in iOS was very hard and clumsy to use. In Android I
never got it to work.
The above are just my thoughts and why I returned the unopened package I
purchased and ended up keeping the Honeywell.

Subject: Smart thermostat with Amazon Alexa
Hello all,
My family recently got an Ecobee Smart thermostat. It turns out that we
did not get the correct version to work with Apple HomeKit. However, I
fear that it works with Amazon Alexa. Has anybody on here used this or
similar smart thermostat with Alexa for iOS? What is your experience?
